Among Friends Art Show and Sale

Today was spent hanging the paintings and getting everything ready for the the 25th Annual Among Friends Art Show to be held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Buckhorn, Ontario.













It is amazing how quickly 25 years have gone by and the number of changes that have happened over those years.













From the pegboard panels we used to have for displaying our artwork to the much lighter weight black metal grids we use now. The way the tables are set up and the smaller grids used at the front of the Church Hall to display a few pieces of art from each member.













Replacing our old wooden signs with newer versions, as well as having a couple of brightly coloured banners made to help promote the show.













There have also been many changes to the members of the Buckhorn Artists' Group over the years; of which there are still three of the founding members - Helen Sheppard, Irene Smith and myself who continue to exhibit their artwork.




I look forward to the opening of the show tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be nice for the entire weekend. The Church is going to hold their plant and bake sale tomorrow as they did last year. Most of us will be either getting plants or baked goods, and in some cases both.

18 May 13 - 9:00am - 5:00pm
19 May 13 - 12:30pm - 5:00pm
20 May 13 - 10:00am - 5:00pm
