The Art of the Turtle
A number of the members of the Buckhorn Artists' Group are doing paintings for "The Art of the Turtle", which is a fundraiser for the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre. All have been painted on 8" x 10" stretched canvas.
The event is being held on 14 May 10 from 7-10pm at the Peterborough Public Library Auditorium, 345 Aylmer Street N., Peterborough, Ontario.

Isabelle Blewett
Born in southern Ontario in the vicinity of Lakefield in the Kawarthas she now makes her home on upper Chemong Lake near Buckhorn, where she does most of her painting.
Isabelle studied under Edwin Matthews at Sir Sandford Fleming College, took many workshops at the Gallery on the Lake and Buckhorn School of Fine Art with a number of known artists.
Isabelle is a prize winning artist, in 1992 she won the Ron Hine Art Education Award. She specializes in landscape and floral paintings in watercolour and acrylic.
She also owns and operates the Boat House Gallery which she opened in 1993.
